Aggregate approved total estimated investment of all North East Link packages. The same report gives the original approved total as $15.64 billion. Some freeway packages were still in procurement.
A road tunnel and freeway connection between the M80 Ring Road and the Eastern Freeway, through Watsonia and Bulleen. The Victorian Auditor-General’s February 2025 report says the main tunnel works are under way. It is a different road from the unbuilt F18 freeway, and from the Doncaster line, which was never built.
