Berwick is a suburb in Melbourne’s south-east, in the City of Casey. Berwick station is on the Pakenham line, which continues east into Pakenham in Cardinia Shire. The council’s community profile places Berwick in the north-east of Casey. Cardinia Shire is on its eastern boundary. The photograph is of the Berwick Inn in the old village, not of the station.

At the 2021 Census the Australian Bureau of Statistics counted 50,298 people usually living in Berwick. The median age was 38, the same as the Victorian median on that release. There were 17,981 private dwellings, with 2.9 people per household on average. The median weekly household income was $2,113.

The same community profile puts the suburb at 34.10 square kilometres, and gives an estimated resident population of 56,174 for 2025. That estimate is later than the Census count.
