Bulleen
Bulleen is a suburb in Melbourne’s east, in Manningham City Council. It has no railway station. The Doncaster line, which would have run through here toward Doncaster, was never built. The photograph is the North East Link construction site in Bulleen on 24 October 2024. The F18 freeway, the 1969 freeway through this corridor, was not built.
At the 2021 Census the Australian Bureau of Statistics counted 11,219 people usually living in Bulleen. The median age was 45. The Victorian median on the same release was 38. There were 4,676 private dwellings, with 2.6 people per household on average. The Victorian figure was 2.5. The median weekly household income was $1,814.
