Cranbourne is a suburb in Melbourne’s south-east, in the City of Casey. Cranbourne station is the end of the Cranbourne line. Clyde, the next suburb out, has no station. The proposed extension toward Clyde is the Clyde Rail Link.
At the 2021 Census the Australian Bureau of Statistics counted 21,281 people usually living in Cranbourne. The median age was 35. The Victorian median on the same release was 38. There were 8,073 private dwellings, with 2.7 people per household on average. The Victorian figure was 2.5. The median weekly household income was $1,477.
